About Us
Our History
Sunset Montessori School was founded in 2004 by our Proprietress, Mrs. Gladys Boamah-Duku, with a singular vision: to provide quality education and shape young minds. Over two decades, our school has grown from humble beginnings into a beacon of academic excellence and a hub of creative expression.
Our school's history is woven with countless stories of achievement and growth. We've witnessed students blossom into confident, compassionate, and curious individuals, equipped to make a positive impact. Over the years, we have expanded our programs from preschool to Junior High School, continuously adapting to enhance the learning experience.
We are proud of our legacy and look forward to the next chapter in our school's journey, knowing that together, we'll continue to inspire, educate, and empower generations to come.
Our Philosophy, Mission & Values
Our Philosophy: The Sunset Montessori Way
At Sunset Montessori School, we believe education is not just about what you learn, but who you become. We are a premier Montessori school grounded in strong, universal moral values.
Our approach is holistic, honouring the "whole child." We provide a meticulously prepared, child-centred environment where curiosity is ignited and independence is nurtured. Our students learn not by force, but through the joy of discovery.
Grounded in our values, we weave compassion, integrity, and service into the very fabric of our community. This blend of the world-renowned Montessori method and a strong ethical heart creates an environment where children develop into academically bright, emotionally intelligent, and self-assured individuals, ready to serve their community and the world.

Our Core Policies
Our policies are our guide to the partnership between Sunset Montessori School and our families. Adherence to these policies is essential for creating a safe, fair, and excellent learning environment for all our children.
Student Code of Conduct
We guide children toward self-discipline based on our three core values: Respect for Self (pride in your work and appearance), Respect for Others (kindness and polite language), and Respect for the Environment (caring for materials).
Attendance & Punctuality
A consistent daily routine is essential for a child's success. Our school day begins with Assembly at 7:30 AM, and students arriving after this time must be signed in at the Administration Office.
Parent-School Communication
A strong, respectful partnership between home and school is vital. The Administration Office is the central and first point of contact for all parent inquiries, concerns, and feedback.
A full Parent-Student Handbook with detailed policies is provided to all families upon enrolment and is available from the Administration Office.
School Identity
Our Creed and our Anthem are recited with pride across the school. Together they express the values of confidence, service, and academic excellence we instill in every student.
The Sunset Creed

Today, I will let my light shine!
